Well, I think the title says it all really!!

For the past few days I have had a serious change of pattern in my bathroom routine, I have all the classic symptoms of the body preparing for labour!!Whhhhhooooo.

I have loose movements in the bathroom (gross!), achey dull constant pains in the pelvis, and then at times excrutiating stinging pains now and again in the pubic area, back ache, and Ive had 3 different sessions of braxton hicks contractions in the past two days for an hour or so in each session. I had two in one day and with everything else combined I decided to ring the hospital to see what I had to do.

They advised me to go in as im only 34 weeks and if its is labour it would have been pre term so they needed to check. It turns out that I wasnt in labour, but the EXCRUTIATING pain in the pelvis is because Joseph Daniel is engaging his head and along with the SPD it hurts a lot more.

Im really excited that things are on the move and I cant wait to hold him in my arms. It was such a surreal moment walking out of the hospital - I realised that the next time I walk out I'll have a baby in my arms.......soooooooo bizarre! But an amazing and humbling experience at the same time.

Im 6 weeks away from the 40th week, but to be honest I dont think I'll last that long now as Ive been told that it doesnt take that long from first engagement and also Im measuring 2 weeks further.........so my task this weekend is to PACK MY BAG!!! Hahahahahah.

I know i can be another month away from actually giving birth, which seems so far away, but its gonna fly and Im just SOOOOOOO happy that things are on the move, I cant explain how I feel. Its euphoric.
