| 16-10-2008 - NEW MUM | My mood while writing this blog:WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE |
Well my waters broke on Thursday 9th October at 2am and I just jumped outta bed going ' "Oh, ,oh er, shit, er, oh, er,er, well, shit, get me a towel!"
And now here I am a week later totally overwhelmed and loving being a new mum.
There is a shortened version of my labour under the blue foot print so click on that if you wanna read it.
My labour lasted 15 hours but to be honest it was far more enjoyable than the pregnancy that I endured. It wasnt a particularly good one as certain people on here will know! But in the end the pain, tears, hormones, medication, support belts and crutches means nothing when your child arrives and you hold your baby for the first time.
Everyone thinks that they know what unconditional love is when it comes to family like Mum, Dad, siblings etc, but in the end it doesnt compare to anything when you have a child of your own. You truly know the meaning of unconditional love and it bowls you over, over and over again. Its amazing. Just looking in his little blue eyes (even at 3am when he pees everywhere!) is amazing and Steve and I are loving being parents.
His soft peachy skin, his big blue eyes, his feather light hair, his little hands grabbing my littlest finger, and the way he 'smacks' his lips after every feed makes our hearts melt.
I guess this is just one way of me showing my emotions at the moment, I just scream at the top of my voice how happy I am, and totally in love with both of my men in my life, but then i realise that words cannot describe how I feel.
Having a family of my own is THE most important thing to me, even before pregnant, so now that I have my own mini family its fantastic. Steve has been amazing and he deserves lots of thanks and praise as I havent been the most fantastic pregnant person to be around (who is ??!!) but with the SPD he has been dressing me, putting me in the bath and cooking and cleaning since 4 months pregnant, and I have given him some stick, but he came through for me, and hes a fabulous Dad.
I guess Im just a little emotional- in a good way!- and this is the first time ever that I have been truly content and happy.
I guess Motherhood suits me........................even at 3am when he pees everywhere!
Good Luck to all the preggers out there, (its worth it!) and Congrats to Mums. x
