18-2-2009 - a prayer to God

My mood while writing this blog:
troubled

Well ladies I went to the Dr. yesterday. I didn't get an US like I had hoped, but they said they would do one next month. My due date hasn't change and they said everything looked and felt great. So looks like everything's good so far. Unfortunantly I did receive some troubling news. I take a medicine everyday to bind the bile in my stomach from my liver. It keeps me from getting very sick everytime I eat and oddly enough during an episode my brain gets confused and causes an allergic reaction---severe. They said that I need to stop taking it because studies in animals did not show ideal results. So now I'm scared that since Ive been taking it this whole time that something may happen to the baby. Now I'm spending 90% of my day praying that God will protect my baby. I know he can and will. Hes protected my niece and nephew who were born to a mother on drugs. Both are fine and healthy. I hope that he understands I would NEVER take anything to harm my baby. I love this baby and have wanted this baby for so long. I know he has a plan! This baby is a blessing, but I'm not sure how I would handle knowing that I harmed my baby. I kept taking it because I thought that getting sick without it and becoming dehydrated would be harmful...when I started the meds I told the pharmacy that I was trying to get pregnant and they told me it was in the safe range to take during pregnancy. I just need some extra help. Please if you believe in the power of prayer please pray for my baby.

Yes, try not too worry too much...God is knitting your baby in your womb just the way that He intended and hears your prayers. I just came across this scripture yesterday and it may not be perfect for this situation, but at least it can affirm that your baby is in God's care, it is Isaiah 44:2 "I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born." I think that is an awesome promise. God wants the VERY best for your baby and knows that your heart feels the same way. You even checked with the pharmacy, you were doing your part and now you are seeking prayer and praying. Don't be hard on yourself. I really think that everything is going to be fine. It was a short time period and according to my doctor, if you were to do something wrong in your pregnancy, like drink alcohol, smoking, and most meds, it is always said that if you can stop by the 3rd month, you have given your baby a very good chance at being healthy. Once you see those healthy u/s it will ease your mind too! Keep praying and I will too.

God know your intention in taking that medication. I will be praying for you and your baby but don't be too worried or stressed out about it.... you know that the baby feels everything you feel. DON'T WORRY GOD'S PLAN IS GREAT AND YOUR BABY WILL BE FINE....
