20-8-2009 - 33 week troubles

My mood while writing this blog:
saddened

Well ladies Im out for the count. Just when everything seems to be going great BAM somethings brings things back down. I had written a poll earlier this week about all the pressure in my rectum. Well I mentioned this to the Dr today along with the fact that I had contractions for the better part of the day yesterday (not regular though), they decided to check me. Well Im already dilated 1cm!! So Im now on complete bed rest till I have this baby and I have to take procardia every 4 hours. But the good news is that my blood pressure and urine still look great.(HBP is why my DD was induced) So if I can keep from dilating any more I should be able to get a few more weeks under my belt. Its just a HUGE pain in the ass for everyone around me. LOL My poor mother has to move by the end of the month and shes raising my 6 year old niece(as of Saturday- her Bday) and my 10 yr old nephew. My poor husband works 6 days a week and at night. My MIL is running our business by herself. I feel like a huge burden on everyone now. But I also tell myself that no matter when or if this had happened everyone was gonna be busy with something. I hope I can get at least 3 more weeks under my belt. That will be 36 weeks & my DD was born at 35 weeks I really wanna get passed that point. Wish me luck girls, one day in and Im feeling like a useless lump on the couch already LOL.

Hang in there - you aren't useless...you are an oven! That's your job and if you have to be on bed rest to do it I am sure it's ok with your family! Keep that baby in there!

Good luck!! I've been having BHs every day (usually 3 an hour, but it has been up to every 2 minutes) for over 3 weeks and am 1cm, but they let me do partial bed rest (only work a couple of hours a days and stay off my feet) but the meds they gave me in L &D dd nothing so I'm not on anything. Thankfully, friends and family have been stopping by and yelling at me to stay sitting...so, yes, I know how frustrating it is to feel ok and have everyone else doing things!! Hang in there!!

I know bedrest really sucks. But have hope, remember you are doing what is best for your little one and that is the most important job there is. It may not keep you very busy but it is keeping your precious angel very safe. Good luck, I will be praying for you both.

Im there with you as of Monday August the 10th I was put on strict bed rest. I'm so bored! I've been driving myself crazy, My daughter was born at 36 weeks and now this one is trying to come early too. I guess some of us women just can't hold to full term. I kinda new I would be put to bed rest eventually because I was having alot of contractions for the past month or two and that's how it was with my daughter. Well I wish you luck and hopefully we came make it 3 or 4 more weeks! I have a lot of online shopping still to do for the baby! So stressful! Good luck!

Oh gosh, you scared me half to death!! Youve made it this far, you can do it! Ive been on bedrest since week 26. Not strict but I am very limited and spend most of my day on the couch watching tv. You dont have much longer to go, hang in there!
