| 10-12-2010 - Baby Eliza is here! | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
We left for the hospital early as we werent sure how the weather was going to be but it went well and we got there at 7am. When we got there, we found that there was four scheduled c/s that day but we were also told that it would take a while as they had to be stopped when an emergency came in. Even though I was teh first there I was the last seen by the doctor and anaesthetist. By about 12pm,I was literally dying of hunger adn tired to find out what was going on. I was told that my case was straight forward so they were going to do the other 3 ladies first as they had medical issues.
I was finally taken to the HDU at about 2pm and at about 2:50pm, I was wheeled into the theatre. The procedure went really well and after abit the removal of a tiny fibriod and the detachment of adhesion from the previous c/s, I was wheeled into Recovery and had the opportunity to put her to my breast. I am so happy about that as I didnt have the chance to do that with Aiden and even though it is quite demanding I wouldnt change it for anything. I tried topping her with formula once but she refused the bottle.
She is so amazing-she hardly cries and she sleeps wonderfully. We were released on wednesday at 2:30pm but I think I did too much once I was home and I had a good cry when I got into bed that night as I couldnt put Aiden in bed with me scared he was going to hurt me and he couldnt understand why I wasnt going to allow him in my bed and I was SOOO sore it was unbelievable.
I am feeling really well now but still very sore and though I am taking my pain medication, I guess becos of the extra work done, it will take a while to get all nice and good.
In the meantime,I am enjoying little Eliza and being mummy to 2 little ones and now wondering if I am ever going to have another baby. I am missing the movements in my tums but that is another matter.
For all waiting to have their babies, labour dust to you and all the best. For all who have had their babies, congratulations and enjoy these early christmas presents and baby dust to all TTC.
Ah yes and pictures to follow xx
