| 12-11-2010 - 34 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Feeling pretty good |
Turned 34 weeks on monday(using my due date from my dating scan as that is what they are basing my c-section on) and have 4 weeks to the section and I feel so unprepared for the baby right now. I am just waiting to finish with work before doing all the washing and organising.
Had a scare on tuesday morning when I got ready to go to work. Had these really painful cramps and as I never had to labour with Aiden, didnt know what they were. In the beginning they were quite manageable and I was joking to my husband that we were going to have the baby soon but in a minute or two, they became so much worse and I started panting just to be able to breathe. What made the pain worse was everytime I would have a contraction, the baby would move. After a few more minutes I was bawling my eyes out. Called my mum and described what I was feeling to her and she said to go into hospital. I didnt want to as we had a very busy day at work and was hoping they will sort of ease so I could go in.
Finally 45 minutes in, I gave in when they werent getting any better and spoke to a midwife at the hospital who advised I go into Triage to be checked. Got myself there and was monitored and was checked down there as well. Even though I was contracting, the doctor said my cervix was still closed and to take some paracetamol if they didnt cease and also to come back in if they happen again. At this point, I have to say I have the utmost respect for all mothers who labour long hours to have their babies. Women really are the stronger sex!!
Had my last appointment at the hospital on thursday and they feel I am doing so well, I have been referred to my midwife who I have only seen at my 10 week booking-in appointment.
My mum is hopefully going to come soon to help me out with the new baby and healing after the c-section and I cant wait to see her. I saw her last year Nov.
So 23 days to go till baby is here!!!! Yikes!! I scare myself saying that!!
Hope you are all keeping well-baby dust, belly rubs and labour dust to all xx
