28-7-2008 - Baby shower

My mood while writing this blog: unfocused

So my mom and SIL are giving me a shower sometime next month or maybe in September. Not sure on the dates just yet! I am excited. I really need my bedding and a few other things that I registered for, so it will be nice to hopefully get what I need. He needs clothes too, so hopefully he will get plenty of those!! I gave all of Jacob's stuff to my SIL and she loned them to her sister and I'm just not sure what shape they are going to be in when I get them. Plus I had Jacob in June and this one is coming in October, so I'm going to need winter stuff. My other SIL is preggers too and she is due Oct 5th and my SIL was wanting to do something for us together, but Amanda (the preggers one) says she doesn't really need anything. She kept all her daughter's stuff and she is having another girl. She said she would feel kinda greedy having a shower and getting stuff, she really doesn't need. Plus the girls at her work are giving her a shower and getting her the much needed diapers, wipes and stuff like that. I'm sure the girls here at my work will give me a shower or something too, but they haven't said anything and I'm not going to be rude and ask them. But they are all so excited about me having a baby. And one of the guys I work with, his wife is pregnant with a girl due on Oct 15th. So they might do something for us together. We are going to finally start working on getting his room together next weekend. I had to clean out my son's closets in his room this past weekend, and let me tell you that was one heck of a chore!!! His toy box had kinda collapsed in his closet and made a huge mess in his one closet and then his other one was just piled high with crap. Now you can actually see the bottom of both closets!! And now the big task of moving the furniture that is in the baby's room (it is currently a spare bedroom) into Jacob's room and packing up his twin bed and putting it away for when the baby is old enough to sleep in it. So that will be done over a couple of weekends, I'm sure!! I 'm just ready to get the baby's room all ready. I've got to clean out the closets in that room too! How fun does that sound.
