20-9-2008 - Pre-Term Labor

Ok so I've had an interesting few days. I started having really bad contractions early Thursday morning around like 2 in the morning. Well went to the hospital and was dialated to 2cm and 70% effaced. I was there for a while still having painful contractions, but not changing my cervix, so home I go. So I got sent home. Then around midnight on Friday, the contractions started again. So back to the hospital I go again. I waited longer this time, but still no change, 2cm. They told me they wouldn't do anything to stop the labor if I was to go, but they won't give me anything to speed it up either. At least not for another 2 weeks, until I'm 37 weeks. So I will just have to suffer through the contractions again, if and when I get them. I want him to ge healthy, but I also can't keep going through these contractions and get no sleep. I was so exhausted yesterday. I'm going to talk to my Dr. about putting me out of work so I can start drawing my short-term disability. I can't keep missing work and expect to get paid for it!!! I was kinda hoping we were going to meet my little guy yesterday or Thursday, but no such luck. Guess he's still not ready to make his appearance yet. So we have to wait a little longer!! But the longer he's in my tummy the more healthy he will be, so I guess I can't complain. I'm just ready to not be pregnant anymore!! I will keep you all updated. More to come later!!
