12-10-2009 - Birth

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

So I went to the doc on thursday for my appointment and they did another ultrasound and he measured over 8lbs so he called the hospital to see if they could induce me that night! We went home and got ready and they told us to be there at 9 . We went and they were so busy that we waited till 12 to get things going. Then at 9 am they broke my water. Labor really was kicking in then. Contractions with the potecin were getting so strong that it stressed the baby out really bad to were his heart rate dropped down into the 60's. They basically threw me back up in the bed with my butt in the air and gave me a shot to stop my contractions.They were coming to close and to hard for him. There wasnt even a moment in between them for a rest for either of us. Once the baby was calm again they started the drip again. Well it happened again and I was really scared. All the nurses came rushing in again and made everyone leave except hubby.They started prepping me for c section. I told them I didnt want that. They were doing it just in case I needed one. I prayed and prayed that everything would be ok. This was somewhere over 11 hours already.To make it short they started drip again but alot less cause my contractions where coming on there own.Mind you Im doing this WITHOUT any pain relief. I was stuck at 4 cm . My midwife left to go to dinner and it wasnt even an hour later that I felt the most intense pain. I felt a hard pop down there. I told my husband something had changed. Than started screaming like a mad woman and pushing. My little girl went to get the nurses and they came in and told me not to push lol. ya right. Soon my doc was there and told me to push when i wanted ...Unfortunetly baby was coming out FACE up! Ouch is all i have to say. I pushed till I thought I was going to pass out from the pain. My blood pressure went way down but finally my little guy was out. Thank You Jesus. We were in the hospital 4 days due to gbs and him having Jaundice but he is so perfect and we love him so much. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
