28-8-2008 - another doctors appointment

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I had my check up this evening and well last week the doctor said I was 2 CM dilated and 80% effaced well today this doctor said I was only 1 1/2 CM dilated and still 80%percent effaced. I know I am still a few days away from my due date but I am very uncomfortable and most women in my family have had C sections because they just stop dilating so I was hopeful that I was going to go natural but after today I am feeling like a C section is in my future.

Plus the doctor last week said that I could have my membranes stripped this week and this doctor told me that it doesn't work for most people and it often needs to be done many times. So Really I should only have two appointments left and guess what she didn't strip me today.

I am just grumpy and I hate how they all tell you something different. This whole pregnancy I was told that when my contractions are five minutes apart head to the hospital now this doctor said wait until they are 2 or 3 minutes apart for two hours and then head to the hospital. So now really since I live an hour away the hospital should I leave my house after one hour or did she take drive time in to the time frame? I have no idea and I guess thats what has me in this funky mood it seems that I can't get the same answer twice.

My next appointment is Sept. 4th so I guess the doctor feels I am making it to my due date or maybe even longer.

Just a little bummed out I so badly want to meet my little baby. I am dying to hold him and love him.

this is what I get to look forward to?? I'm praying that Lukas comes early, but not to early, I'm praying he will be here at wk. 36 or 37 so that means i'll only have 6 or 7 weeks left, i can't wait,I'm done being pregnant, don't get me wrong I love that I even got pregnant, but damnit I WANT MY SEX LIFE BACK!! Hhahah

ugh, i feel your frustration! my doctor wouldn't strip my membranes either, and said we could "talk about it" at my appointment next tuesday which is on my due date. talk about it?!?! i also live about an hour from the hospital... much, much further if it's rush hour. This is all too stressful!

My dr made my next appointment for the 9th 3 days after my due date and goes see ya in 2 weeks, I was so annoyed cos I think she knows that I will be going over or something, I was like I hope not lol, sometimes I think they can be so inconsiderate, we are already tired, uncomfortable and grumpy they just know how to make us worse!!! Chin up tho. :)
