Ok.....so Tuesday morning I went in for some 1hr blood work....you know the glucose test!!!!!!!!! My nurse called me Wednesday morning and said I failed my test. So, she sent me the next morning to do the 3hr test. That was a pain in the ass......not only was I puking that early morning having to get my blood drawn 4 times and poking my finger....I almost passed out cause of not drinking or eating anything since the night before.....it sucked!!! So yesterday after I got that out of the way thinking I should be fine...my nurse calls me today and tells me I have Gestatinal Diabetes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH!!!!!! Why me????? So...the good thing is my mother-in-law is a dietitian and she will be here this weekend from out of town, so she will be making a new meal plan for me. Monday morning I have an appointment to see a Diabetic Consular and she will give me a monitor so I can start poking myself....great!!!!! But as I see it...we will sacrifice ourselfs for our pride and joys....right!!!! Anyways...wish me luck on that note!!!!

Sorry to hear this. I just got a call this morning that I have to go for the 2nd test this Friday. Feel free to share with me any tips on how to deal with GD; i'll make sure to do the same.
