My mood while writing this blog: worried |
Just wondering if any of you are having symptoms of RSV in your little ones??? My Berlyn is been having a lot of mucus and she is stuffy.......she stays at home...never leaves unless to a doctors app and my house is clean.....we have house keepers that come clean once a week. I don't get it...but I did take her to the doctors yesterday and they said she was fine...they just changed her formula to soy milk.....I guess I'm just scared!!!!

Wednesday, 13 Jan oh..also Jacob got those symptoms aswell when he was quite young..it's quite common for them to get the sniffles and colds and really common to get eye infections...it's just because there brand new and have never come into contact with germs before..so you or your cleaners could have a mild cold and not know about it because your immune system is strong..and has delt with colds before..where as your daughters won't have..just think of it as helping her get immunity to the bugs that are around...she''ll be fine like I said..just keep an eye on it and help her by doing the steam room thing and the raising the head of the bed..xx Emauk -
Wednesday, 13 Jan I wouldn't read to much into rsv...Ella had all those symptoms too reall mucusy and snotty and diorrea and sore throat..I was a bit worried about rsv..because my 2yr old is at playgroup and brings back everything from there..but she will be fine hun..I took Ella to the doctors to check it wasn't on her chest..that's the only time to get to the doctors..just put a pillow under the head end of the matress so it lifts her head above her chest when she's sleeping..and that will help drain the mucus and she will sleep better..also you can run the shower or taps really hot and wait till the bathroom gets really steamy..and take her in and sit with her in the steamy room for a little while..and that will also help clear the mucus..just give her plenty of fluid and let her rest up..and she will be fine in a few days..they normally say that 5-7 days it should have run it's course..and start to get better..just listen to her chest to make sure she isn't rattling in her chest or wheezing..if she is doing those things ring the doctors...if she is having trouble breathing or is rapidly breathing then ring the doctors immediatly and just tell them what she is doing...if she stops breathing call 911...she will be fine though..i'm just saying.."incase"..but it's very very very very unlikely that will happen....she sounds like she's gotton a cold..RSV is normally brought into the house by toddlers who are mixing with alot of other children..hope this helps...it's always scary when they are poorly for the first time though..but you'll get used to it..lol..take care..Xxx
