My mood while writing this blog: Sad |
yaya..21 weeks I cant belive it..so everything is going good so far..I feel the baby move all the time..i love it..but on the other hand my son is really sick
I took him to the Er last night cause his temp was 103.5 They gave him some Motrion and took some Xrays of his chest...And made sure he didnt have Strep..so his fever went down to 100.0
so I took him home and he played outside for about 15 mins and went in and wanted to go to bed so I took me a shower and I put him in my bed because he was sick and I wanted to be able to keep an eye on him..So about 2:10am he woke us up out of a dead sleep saying there was buggs on him..He was (Hullisinating) I dont think I spelled it right..I was freaking out im like buggs all over my baby..so I turned the light on as fast as I could and there was nothing there..So I got him something to drink and I took him temp and it was 103.4 so I gave him some Med..and I held him..And a few mins later he started to do it again..THERES BUGGS ON ME MOMMY GET THEM OFF..I called the Er at 2:15 and told them what was going on..and they didnt tell me nothing..really!! I was really consurned and thought I should bring him in..but she was more into giving him a bath! and giving him liquids! so this morning I took his temp and it was 104.5 So what do you do now right?? I went and got some Motrion..and gave him that..and the nurse at the doctors told me they dont get consurned till its 105.0 WHAT?? Are you kidding me..Well we are taken him into the Er tonight AGAIN! and im telling them they need to do somthing!! so im really upset about my baby..daddy is home with him I call like every 5 mins to make sure his temp is going down..well daddy told me it was finally down to 99.7 Thats the lowest its gottan sence yesterday..he said he was sweating too..GOOD..That means its a good sign..Well see when I get home tonight..what should I do ladys??

Monday, 6 Jul oh also like partyof5 said..the doctor told me to give Jakes water and watered down juice..(It has a bit of sugar in which helps give a bit of energy)..at room temperature..or as cool as it comes out the tap..another way of telling if there dehidrated is they get sunken eyes..and there temples dip in..also they get really dry lips..when Jakes had a fever..I pushed him to have at least 2 sips of drink every 10-20 minutes throughout the day..just keeps them topped up..and lots of sleep..the more sleep they get..the easier it is for there immune system to work on the virus..x partyof5now (Sonya) -
Monday, 6 Jul Definately push liquids...water perferably because you dont want what ever cold he may have to turn into pnemonia (it happened to my daughter when she was 4)....A good way to know if he is drinking enough & staying hydrated is he should be needing to pee often like normal & if he isnt then push more water...It sounds like the bug hallucenations may be because of his high fever...keep him cool, not cold but cool & keep up on his dose of meds...I would be sitting at the docs office if my little one had a temp of 104 as well so I feel you on that. Hopefully his sweating means his fever broke & if you are at all concerned take him back to the ER/Quick Care...that is what they are for right. Hope he starts feeling better soon...let us know. Monday, 6 Jul He might be feeling the bugs on him cuz his temp was so high. I think that is a side effect from a fever. Sounds like no2on the way knows more than me lol. I will be able to learn a lot from you ladies when Della Marie is born. LOL I'm a first timer here. Emauk -
Monday, 6 Jul well when we were kids..my brother got a temperature of 104+..and was hallousinating..and all they could tell my Mum was to keep him cool and give him medicen and liquids..she did a strip wash every couple hours and kept damp sponging him..take his clothes off so he's just in a nappy..(or pants..whatever he's in at night)..if you have a fan..put that on him..and give him a cool bath..(not cold..it might put him into shock)..the best thing you can do is keep the fluid going into him..and keep him as cool as possible..give him his medicen when he's allowed another dose..and if he starts to go over 104 again..get him back to the doctors..yeah..swetting is a good sign..it means his temperature is breaking..if he broke his temp while not on medicen..he'll be alright the next day..if he broke it while on the medicen..it could have been the medicen which broke it for a while..and might come back..your doing fine hun..I know it's scary but he'll be fine..just keep him cool..and watered..doesn't matter if he doesn't eat much..if anything for a day or 2..as long as he's drinking..let us know how he is..xxx
