03-4-2009 - The interesting story on how I met my husband

Okay, I was born and raised in California, as a teenager I started to hate it there I guess because that is all I new. When I started to date I really had no interst in Cali guys, very stuck up and not my type..Most guys I dated were from NY, or the east coast i loved the accents, lol As I became an adult I used to tell my friends I know my husband is not here in CAli, They would just laugh at me. Once I became a nurse I had a good income and I decided that I was leaving Cali to find me a new life somewhere else. Right before I moved I kept running into women at work that said, "Im moving to Atl, my daughter moved and she met herself a hard working man" I heard this story from like 3 ladies and I started to think , hum,,, should I go to Atlanta? is this where a good man is? Well I was going to NY but being from CAli I could never live in that kind of cold weather so I decided on Atlanta. I moved june13 2005. I wasnt really religious in Cali, but i did go to church from time to time.. While living in Atlanta I met a guy who was super religious and he taught me about fasting etc and I was so into going to church and living a new kind of life. Well we did not last that long together but he left me with a better since of my faith and how to use it. One day, I decided to fast, i fasted for about 4 days and prayed to god for a house and a husband!! this was around November 8-9 2005, I never felt so incontrol until I fasted the way I did, Im sorry to say I have never fasted since then, this was the one and only time in my 29 years I did something like this, it was a wonderful experience, well I had a friend who loved online dating and a few weeks before i fasted she told me about a site called Black christiam meet .com so i would look at the site from time to time and talk to a few guys, but exactly 3 days after I fasted I got a message from Dereck , now my husband on this site so i replyed and we went out on a date and we hit it off, to make a long story short 10 months later we were engaged then 10 months after being engaged we were married!!! Oh and the house I got my first house which was a 4 bed 4 bath 3300 square foot house 7 months after my fast!!! GOD IS GOOD...

So that is my story on how I met my husband, I prayed and fasted for a husband and on the 3rd day i met Dereck (Online) which I hate to tell people thats how we met, i normally tell people we met at target!!! lol because on our first date we met up at target a public place in case his butt was crazy...

He is as sweet as pie!!! he is a true family man and loves to be with his family... he is very much what I and my daughter needed in our lives!!!!
