21-4-2009 - 36 week appt

My mood while writing this blog:
excited

Okay today was my 36 week appt. I saw the nice midwife Mrs. Pye she's great. I wanted her to check me to see if im dilating but she wouldnt do so, she said next week!!! DAMN then i told her how yestarday i had more than 20 contactions, she told me at this point im great and if i were to go into labor she was not going to stop it from happening, she said the baby is 6 lbs and im doing good. I gained another pound since last week so now i have gained a total of 4.4lbs.... I have my babyshower on saturday and saturday is my 30th b-day so im exicted.. i have already been recieving gifts via UPS from those who cant come, mainly my family back in CAlifornia... i got a box from Macy's today from my big sister!!! yeah i dont know if it is for me or the baby we will see on saturday...

Im so exicted!!! i want her to come out so bad..im walked around my neigborhood 3 times today 4 times around is a mile so almost a mile i have not done that at all my entire pregnancy... i will start to do more drastic stuff after my babyshower like sometime next week i will take castor oil only if i dont have her 1 day before week 38 so actually in 2 weeks from today if she isnt born i will drink me some oil!!!! but not before that i will do other things like massage, sex, rasberry tea etc.. but i dont want to do the oil until i get desparate which i know i will be desparite in 2 weeks i know i spelled that wrong!!! lol

so im excited now.... i just wish my midwiffe would have checked me!! so i could now if im opening up at all!!

ya i dont suggest the castor oil, ive heard some pretty bad stuff about it and apparently its dangerous.. try other things!!

I think the begin checking the cervix in your last month. You have 4 more weeks to go. Hopefully she will come sooner rather than later, but of course they come out when they are good and ready. You're daughter will be a Taurus too, they take their time coming into this world. Trust me I know, both my children are Taurus'.

Yeah- I'm no expert at this thing but I agree with the other two ladies- no castor oil. That could put your baby in danger. I don't think its safe. Some women get away with it, but the greater percentage had the short end of the stick. Just do some research on it if you really don't want to take our opinions to the head. And weigh out your pros and cons! And also, some people do the primose evening oil. That is less side affects they say. Also if you drink up to 5 glasses of red raspberry tea leaf in one day it is supposed to bring on contractions. Although from the sound of it, you don't want anymore contractions. Well, all is well- I am not trying to be judgemental, but please don't do the castor oil, for the sake of your baby.

I agree...don't do the castor oil. Let her come on her own when the time is right and she is ready. It's what's best. Good luck!
