24-8-2009 - AMANI MEETS HER BROTHER!!

My mood while writing this blog: THANKFUL

Welll my husband has a 8 year old handsome son named nickolas, his nickname that we all call him is Nico. Well to make a long story short we have had MAJOR MAJOR drama dealing with Nico's mom we have not seen nico since Feb 5th 2008~~~ his mother is the type of person to make up stories about our household to try and get Nico taken away from my husband because she was mad he married me etc etc!! well I was always sadded that Nico had not met Amani or for that matter he did not even know he had a new lil sister.. i am very big on family and I have 4 sisters no brothers so i think it is wonderful that Amani has a brother and I would cry sometimes because i did not know when she and her brother would ever meet. well the day has finally came!!!! Yestarday my stepson Nico came over and he met his lil baby sister and we were all so very happy to see him!!! he has gotten so big.. I asked him do you think you and Amani look alike and he said yes they both have big eyes!!! he kissed her and i can tell he loves having her in his life!!

well of course I had to get a pic of Nico and Amani meeting for the first time!! the bad thing is its not the best photo my camera only let me take one picture then my battery died and would not turn back on!!!

I believe being a step parent is one of the most difficult jobs i could have because you have a lot of opposition from the other real parent.. I think of my self as a great stepmom because I feel as though Nico is also my child not just my husbands child and I feel responsible for who he will become in life from my actions toward him.. even though his mom is a real witch i choose to be nice to her and try to be the best person i can be. so all the stepmoms reading this just try and let go of the drama and focus on the child!!
