| 08-5-2009 - Storybook Glen | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Now that my son is slightly older i feel we can take him on trips and things and he can enjoy them more. Because of this me and the DH decided to take Pearce to a place called Storybook Glen. For those who are not familar with Scotland, Storybook Glen covers acres of land. You walk through countryside and hidden all over the place are statues of storybook characters. There is also a petting zoo, picnic area etc etc. It was brilliant, Pearce loved all of the statues....especially Barney the dinosaur...thats his favourite tv show lol.
I really enjoyed spending time together as a family as me and DH have had a rough year to be perfectly honest. Hes never cheated but had been in contact with other women via email, txt etc and it completely crushed me. I dont think he understood the impact all of that had. It had happened when i was pregnant with Pearce so as you could understand, this pregnancy has been an emotional rollercoaster.
Anyway, fast forward a year and add couple conselling and we are doing great and this new baby just confirms that. I really appreciate what i have. I never had my dad around when i was growing up and understand the importance of (when possible) both parents being involved in a childs life. Although when i think about it, my childhood was probably a much happier time without my dad...he caused too much grief.
