30-7-2009 - MY MUM HAS SWINE FLU!

My mood while writing this blog: upset and worried

My mum was diagnosed with swine flu yesterday :( She is classed as being a lower risk as she has no underlying problems. I was on the phone all day yesterday phoning my midwife and Pearces dr to make sure that i was doing everything i could as we had been in contact with my mum. Later on in the day i noticed Pearce wasnt very well....high temperature, runny nose and eyes and not eating. Then he threw up. Phoned the dr again and he said for Pearce to be treated just in case!! Im not allowed to leave the house so i had to ask a friend to get Pearces prescription for me so we started his tamiflu last night. Im going to phone my midwife later on today and let them know that Pearce is being treated....they already know mums been diagnosed. I am so worried....midwife told me that i could go into labour if i were to develop it so im mega stressed!! Its 10am here in Scotland so just going to wait and see how the little man is today. So far he still hasnt eaten anything so getting his antibiotics into him is a bit difficult. He hasnt been sick since last night, however he hasnt slept all night. His eyes are still runny but doesnt look like he has a temperature as of yet so fingers crossed! xx

oh no its everywhere isnt it, a few friends of mine have it an my aunty who lives downstairs to me has got it too :-( very scary!! hope ur son gets better soon x

things will be fine, can you not have the nasal spray they go on about on the tele ? xx
