| 18-8-2009 - Update on my wedding plans and Pearce | My mood while writing this blog:Happy and excited! |
Well as you all know, me and DF have booked church and reception for 14th may 2011 for our wedding and that was all fine until we attended his big sisters wedding on Sunday. It was in their back garden and it was a humanist ceremony. We had our thoughts about what it was going to be like but it was a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was not about religion or anything like that. It was about the couple and was very intimate. Was an amazing way to do it. So we have decided to scrap the church and have a humanist ceremony ourselves. Im thrilled! We have also decided on having a low key wedding and we have now brought it forward to 17th July 2010!! Its not even 10months away!! We have been talking alot and we have decided to get married where we are having our reception...just in the grounds. Letham Grange is an amazing hotel set on acres of beautiful gardens so it feels appropriate to get married there. Apparently Scotland is one of 6 countries where humanist weddings are legal!! So our ideas are as follows.....get married in the grounds....have a marquee set up so if its windy, raining etc, thats ok. The aisle down the middle of sets of chairs where our family will be sat. It will all be decorated with lights and flowers. After the cermony have our photos done outside and inside reception. The reception will be held inside the hotel and because we are planning to get married later on in the day, we are just going to have a buffet. We want to have a very low key wedding to a)save money so we can get married next year but also b) we want it be a very intimate and personal affair.
Pearce is now 16mths old exactly today!! Where has the time gone?? He took his first steps last night and im so proud of him! He even waited for his daddy to come home from work! We knew it was coming but didnt expect it haha!! He took about 4 steps completely by himself between me and Christopher! Just need to crack the sleeping through the night thing haha xxx
