25-11-2009 - Pre-op appointment

My mood while writing this blog: ok

Well its now 2 days away!! Had an appointment with the midwife today. Had to get bloods done and get ranitidine organised etc. I need to be at Ninewells Hospital for 9am friday morning so im not sure what time my c-section will be but hopefully it wont be much after 9! Babys doing fine, measuring 46cms now. Seems to have become normal for me to measure so big lol. Im getting quite apprehensive now. I gave Pearce a bath tonight and got upset as it will be the last one i can do for a little while and thats our special time. We are dropping Pearce off at my mums tomorrow so that will be another tearful moment for me haha. Ive never been away from him longer than a night so to be away for a couple of nights is really upsetting me. Me and DF are going to go out for tea tomorrow night just to spend some time together which im really looking forward to. We know what a newborn does to your time together haha! I think tomorrow im just going to keep myself busy just to keep my mind off things. Make sure washing etc is all caught up. I cant believe my little girl is going to be here soon!! x

i know how scary it is to be away from your baby for even just a few days. i was terrified of leaving my son for my c-section monday, and then again about seeing how he'd react to a new little brother. and you know, it all turned out great. i'm sure you'll do great too! it's just stressful and scary to think about it it happening for real. good luck with everything! oh and happy thanksgiving!

Its normal to miss your little guy but just think how fast these days have gone by since they gave you a section date!!It will go fast and you will be home before you know it!!!
