08-10-2008 - The Countdown is On!!

October 7th ** 35 Weeks **

I just returned from the hospital for my last biophysical. I also had a NST. Both girls passed scoring 8's. Then I met with the doctor. I will go for one last NST on Friday morning and they will check my cervix - which is still closed tight.

The induction is booked for Oct.14th - so wow, I will meet my girls next Tuesday or Wednesday. It is a long weekend here in Canada (Thanksgiving) so I will enjoy spending the time with the family and eating a turkey dinner!!

As of today Baby A (my smaller babe) is 4lb 7oz and Baby B (my little piggy) is 5lb 10oz. I can't believe I have 10lbs of baby in me!! Everyone still says "oh you're so tiny!!" I'm not sure if I should take it as a compliment or not, but it offends me. I don't feel tiny - I can't move, sleep, eat, wipe or breath. But I guess it's better than "OMG - You're huge".

It is just surreal to me to know that next week I will hold them in my arms. The journey will be over - but a new one will begin. I think I will sort of miss being pregnant and feeling them - our time, just us. But on the other hand I am SO done being pregnant and am anxious and excited to show them off to the world. I can't wait to see what they look like!

Only 7 more sleeps!!

How exciting less than a week you will be holding your girls! I know what you mean when you say you will miss being pregnant kind of. I keep thinking about that too - because this is it. No more kids for me =)

you took the word right out of my mouth! Everything you said is exactly how I feel. I to am having my babies next week on monday by C-Section, they are both breech. I just have one more NST this Thurs. and then I wait until monday for D-day. Good luck to you and rest up.

I can not tell you how jealous I am of you right now!!
I'm 25 wks and feeling the exact way you describe. I'm going on 3 wks of bed rest though so my days are spent constantly thinking about it.
I get the same thing, your so tiny!!! Well I'm all baby, it's all in my belly which still causes major discomfort ;)
So, I need some incouragement, will the next 10-11 wks that I may have fly by or drag?? Like I said I'm on rest for they are concerned about pre term labor/birth. I actually had a steroid shot today, so we hope I get to 36 wks. But do you remember how you felt 10 weeks ago??
My guys are already just about 2 pounds each, can't imagine how I'll feel when they hit 4 pounds!!
I wish you the best of luck with delivery. I hope your 7 sleeps goo by fast. Do you know how your going to deliver yet??
