17-2-2011 - Yucky week

My mood while writing this blog: could be better

Monday was Valentine's Day as everyone knows and my coworker & his wife went in for their 20 week ultrasound - they were very excited. The following day was my coworkers birthday & it was supposed to be a great week for them. Anyways, when they went in for their appointment, the baby was not living. It is so heartbreaking to imagine what they are going thru right now. Yesterday she was scheduled to deliver the baby at 11am but the medicine didn't work so they were going to try again at 5pm. I haven't heard anything yet as to if that dose was effective but I can't imagine how difficult this whole process is for them. I wish there was something that I could do or say but there isn't - I feel like a walking reminder of what they lost & am afraid to see my coworker again as I don't want to make him feel worse than he already does as I am obviously showing now. And, on top of that, my cat died on Monday & he was only 4 years old - he got sick a couple weeks ago & there wasn't a whole lot we could do.

On a brighter note, my sister who is pregnant with twins is coming home this weekend & we have plans to go in for her 3D ultrasound so we can see her little babies! That's the most exciting thing I have going on - which is pretty dang exciting if you ask me!
