11-3-2010 - 31 week 4day doc appt

Hola Mujeres, como estas? lol..had to practice my espanol..lol.. Anywho, I had my 31 week appoint today and it went well. Im measuring 32 weeks now, for once my BP is under 120. It was 118/60, which my doc said was very good. I explained to her that I have calmed down a bit with my anxiety about papa comming early. I know now that if he is born early, he will be ok, but wont come home for a while, she said thats true. Plus Im putting my faith in the lord and letting him take over from here on out. I just want to relax and get ready to have this baby. She did a quick u/s of papa because on Tues I felt this pressure in the crotch area that wasnt like anyother, it led me to believe papa was head down getting ready in position. From the u/s she did today, it confirmed that YES he is head down and in position...yeah!!! She said he is low too.:). She said his fluid is good, hb is 150, and my placenta looks good too. There is not calcium on it. (whatever that means). I asked her about papas weight and all and she said she will do measurments later as right now, Im measuring right on time so he will be an average size 7lbs or so. I askd her about my cervix but she said not to worry about it. Even if Im 1cm dialated it means nothing, which is true because I was watching this show on MTV 16 and prego, and the lady on it was 1cm dialated at I think 30 wks or so and made it all the way to week 35 doing normal activites. So Im not worried about it. Im ready for papa to come. I cant wait. I brought up my induce date again, because I want to emphasize to her that if he DOES NOT come on the 9th like he should I want to be induced the very next day. I dont want to wait too risky and she understands how paranoid I am with papa and is warming up to the idea of inducing me the next day. Well, ladies that concludes this blog/update about my appointment today. Next weeks is my 1st of 3 baby showers, and is the biggest. Im looking forward to it. :) I hear its gonna be a big event, so look out for my update on that. For now..CIAO!!

O wow.. sounds like my story.. i was only 2cm dialated on my due date.. so they sent me back home.. 9 days later i got induced cuz i couldn't wait any longer! Don't worry eveything will fall in the right place.. have fun at your baby showers!!
