06-10-2009 - YAY! OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

Last Thursday when I had my prenatal appointment I had to take the one hour gluclose test. I had gestational diabetes with my son, so they wanted to test me at four months instead of seven with this one. I just called the office and my sugar test came back perfect. I am sooooo happy about that. I never have been a person who had to diet so last time telling me, who was extremely pregnant, that I had to diet for the first time and my life and poke myself 4 times a day was torture. I was able to control my sugar with just diet though so it could have been worse. It was really hard and not to mention really expensive last time. I was really hoping that I might be lucky enough to avoid it this time. Two things with my last pregnancy I did not want repeated: gestational diabetes and the horrible acne I got. I got the acne. Not nearly as bad, but it is noticable. So I am happy to state as of now, no gestational diabetes for me. Bring on the candy bars, lol. I am not sure if I have to get tested again at seven months, but for now I am extremely happy. O, and the AFP test (i think that it is what is called, the test for down sydrome and two others) all came back negative so I am even more excited and happy about that! I love good news ;) .
