15-2-2009 - Miscarriage

My mood while writing this blog:
Sad

Well,

Called the nurse this morning because I realized that I was supposed to call when something changed....

Something did change...I started to bleed

The nurse told me to come into the ER

Basically to make a long story short and to not have to talk about this for a brief moment

We miscarried....

I say we because its not just me who lost the baby but it was Curtis too!

Were both really said and we both try not to blame ourselves

We will get thru it....

Like I said....The baby was just an embryo, but we consider it our first child

Now, our first child is gone and I have no words to explain the way I feel....I have so many things going thru my mind....So many emotions....So many thoughts....So many fears

We will be ok though....were gunna pull thru this 2gether.

I am so sorry and I know how much it hurts. I lost my first two- the first to a m/c at 8-9 wks and the second at 23 wks. Yes, it is pain like no other and there is nothing that can make it really go away except your next child- called the healing child. Ethan is mine. But years later, you can look back at this fondly- it won't always hurt. I realize now that God gave me four pregnancies- which is four times to be excited and four times blessed. We can only afford two- so I am so happy I got to experience four. Plus two are in heaven waiting for me- not gone forever. So you see, once the hurt stops and you heal, it is still a very bittersweet, beautiful thing! And yes, I believe life starts at conception.

I am so sorry for the pain you are suffering right now. Do not give up hope! You will have another baby!
And you won't ever forget this one that you lost, either. My first baby was miscarried at 7 weeks, and we have never forgotten "her".
Keep your faith! And keep trying!
And do talk about it to others. There's lots of us ladies here to listen.
