| 25-1-2010 - The Twins Being Born | My mood while writing this blog:Excited |
Well.....
First, I want to thank all you lovely ladies who congradulated me on my birth and all the nice worlds you left on my page. I signed on today and had 40 something messages and I was so happy to see all of you again.
Second,
As most of you know I gave birth to my twin girls on January 21, 2010.
Nataliyah Marie: Born @ 4:49pm 4lbs 5oz 17 3/4 inches
Liliyana Lee: Born @ 4:51pm 4lbs 11.7oz 17 3/4 inches
I was released from the hospital on Sunday and I have been so tired since then. I have been at the hospital everyday 3 or 4 times a day for the feedings.
My little girls had to stay in the hospital because they are considered preemie babies.
Because of my tiredness and I just finished pumping and I need to take a nap before I go pick up my husband and go to the hospital I'm not going to go into detail with my entire story. I would love to, but I'm just so worn out and I got to get these naps in when I can.
My C-Section wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.....The shot in my spine wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
The update on the girls:
Nataliyah has lost some weight (very normal for the first 7-10 days). She is in a incubator. She is now off the IV and is doing very well.
Liliyana has also lost some weight. She is also in a incubator, but she is under a special light and wears a special mask to cover her eyes because her skin was kinda yellow.
Doc says that the only way they can go home is if they get to full feeds and can keep control of their own body temp.
Both girls are up to full feeds, but Liliyana needed a little extra help, so they had to put in a feeding tube. The nurse said thats only if she doesn't eat all her food then they can inject the remaining food for that feeding into the tube so that she can get her calories.
Anyways, thats pretty much everything going on with the girls. I finally got to speak with the doc about when they may be coming home and the doc says the earliest they would be able to come home is Sunday, but that is no guarentee because like I said they have to be able to hold their own body temperature and be on full feeds.
Now, for the moment you all have been waiting for.
I will go ahead and post some pictures in a minute.
