My mood while writing this blog: Sad |
I have been trying to stay positive but it's hard at times. I am waiting for an appoitment at the IVF clinic. I would like to go for the array CGH egg screening as this seems to be getting good results and giving older women like me a chance. It will only be possible if I produce a good number of eggs. I am feeling sad as I had day 3 blood done which show FSH level 13.6 which is not good, LH level 6 ok. I was feeling possitive that this would be my month as I am still taking Clomid. I am on cd 13 so the hard work has begun. IVF is my next step but don't know yet if this will be possible due to my FSH level if not I shall have to opt for doner eggs. My last option would be adoption. I so hope me and my partner will get our baby. I would love for him to have his own as he was adopted. I still have hope and options so it's not over yet it's just a tough road to go down. Any ladies with high FSH levels please let me know how you are getting on and any advise on lowering FSH would be great. Look forward to hearing from you.

Monday, 9 Nov Sorry to hear that you are feeling low, but please stay positive. As you know, I conceived at age 41 and I am now almost 28 weeks pregnant. I lost a fallopian tube 4 years ago and that literaly halved my chances without taking into account my age. So, yes miracles do happen! You have options. My sister- in-law concieved first time through IVF at the age of 38 and now has a beautiful 5 year old girl. Keep going honey... xxx titangoddess -
Saturday, 7 Nov Well your FSH levels are a little low, this cycle at least. The FSH levels fluctuate each month due to hormone levels which can change at any time. I am a mommy to an IVF baby. Tied tubes in 92, tubal reversal in 99, tubes completely blocked three months later. Started IVF in 03 after 3 HST's, dye tests, all coming back with total blockage of both tubes. First IVF chemical. Second IVF got my son. We donated our frozen embies to another couple and they have a son five months younger than mine. After IVF had the HST test done again two times, total blockage no way to get pg again. Woke up two month before my 40th birthday and vomited for the next two days. Positive PG test and now 20wks with number three. The bonus baby. Sooooooooo... with my history and the fact that I am now carrying around a little hyperactive baby girl should be enough inspiration for anyone. Babydust to you and dont worry about it! It may take a bit longer but it can and will happen. mamagarces -

Saturday, 7 Nov Your not too old. You also got to remember that as your getting older, it becomes harder to conceive. LGK616 -
Saturday, 7 Nov Definitely you are not to old! I'll be 40 next year and I just had my 1st child at 38! And I'm hoping to have a 2nd next year some time. I had a lot of fertility issues since the mid 90's and I was finally able to conceive this miracle daughter of mine naturally. Hang in there - miracles do happen! xox bexstarr01 -
