08-7-2009 - half way mixed emotionsMy mood while writing this blog:
mixed emotions

Had my ultrasound yesterday and l have mixed emotions not sure how l should be feeling baby looked beautiful found out we are having a little girl! can finally start my shopping..the thing is that the tech said that bubs has single umbilical artery (SUA) l had never heard of this before, she explained to me that it is nothing to worry about that l will need another ultrasound at 32 weeks to make sure that baby is growing as should be and that most babies are born fine...As a stresser about all things had to look information up on the net and l am kinda freaked out and can't wait to have my appt with my obstetricion next week so she can hopefully explain all will be well and that this is a normal thing but everything l have read so far shows that there are higher risks of abnormalities...

will have to wait and see

I agree with Angela32, the internet just makes you very worried and paranoid as it lists absolutely everything that 'could' go wrong...which often is very rare. Also, the internet has a host of incorrect information. The sonographer and your obstetrician are your most valuable and trusted sources, so listen to them not the internet. Try not to think the worst (I know this is so easy to say and very very hard to do) but it is better for your baby.
Take care of yoursef and enjoy.
Good luck
:-)

Do not read the stuff on the net it just makes you worry more! the net ofcourse is gonna show worst case scenarios but all in all things turn out fine!If it were really bad or serious your u/s tech prob wouldn't have said anything at all!
