Oh goodness I dont even know where to start...

I have never had "regular" periods so when I missed my period back in January I didn't think too much of it for the first month or so. I had no symptoms what so ever of being pregnant other than an occasional nasty headache and a stuffy nose which for me aren't that uncommon. So one day in mid March I went online checked out the more uncommon symptoms, and realized some of those applied to me. I then went to the grocery store and bought a HPT (don't buy the cheap brand) I had the hardest time trying to read the darn thing. Basically if you were pregnant you were supposed to get two symbols a + and | and if you were not pregnant it would read - and | well mine both came out | and | So I was like well what does that mean? And I'm still not sure what it meant. It wasn't the whole plus but its definitely not a minus... So I went out the next day and bought a name brand HPT that one came out definitely pregnant. So I woke up that next morning called the doctor and went in to confirm basically what I already knew. Told Mom, told Paul my BF who was a little quiet at first but came around and of course some of my Girlfriends. Thinking ok so I missed my period in January (and was on the pill) I must be around 3 months or so???

Now remember that was all just mid March of 2008. Now skip to just last Thursday (04/10/08) I had to have an ultrasound to find out how far along I really am. So I'm laying there, I had never had an ultrasound before but I could see the baby and I just remember thinking, WOW thats alot of baby there. It definitely wasn't the little peanut I was expecting to see. So they took their measurements and were like your about 25 weeks or 6 months, your due date will be 07/24/08. Completely blew me and my mom away! I would have never guessed i was that far along I was thinking i'd be due October, November. I'd be on maternity leave over the holidays. Nope! July!!! So that was that, I had to to go back again the next day to have another U/S to check on a few things since the baby wasn't cooperating the day before. Everything looked perfect, I got a ton of pictures and even found out what I am having. A little girl! =)

I am definitely in shock, but at the same time I'm really excited! I have a lot of work to do, not much time. I haven't even told my dad yet. (SCARY!) But you know what? Everything happens for a reason. So here I go, I've got three months... I've got the best family, friends and group of co-workers one could ask for...

IM GONNA BE A MOMMY! AHH!
