06-7-2008 - BIG UPDATE

My mood while writing this blog: Grateful

I am 23 weeks today and can't believe how long I have been gone. My mother in law pasted away and I was out of work all last week. And of course some wonderful things happened! LOL

It started friday (june 27th) with my shot!! My hubby wasn't home b/c he had gone to eat with some friends and then over to his mothers to chit chat with everyone after they ate. SO!! me thinking that I really need to get over my fear of needles decides that I am going to give it to myself! OMG!! WHAT A DUMBASS THING TO DO! So I called my best friend (just in case I passed out!!) and put her on speaker...got all set up...and it took me a few minutes to get the nerve to poke myself! FINALLY I did it! Craziest thing I have ever done, watching that 1.5" needle go into my butt! AUGH! that unfortunately was the easy part!! Because I had waited so long, it gave the Oil a chance to cool back off (I rub the needle in my hands for a while to get it warm so it goes in quicker and doesnt burn) WELL!! I guess me taking so long along it to get thick again! IT TOOK 3 MINUTES! NO JOKE! TO GET IT ALL OUT OF THE NEEDLE! I pushed and pushed and it was moving soooooo slow!! I vowed to never do it again! SO! my hubby of course yelled at me that I should have just waited! here I am thinking he'd be proud! LOL Then the next night we got the call that his mother passed in her sleep unexpectedly. It was soooo very hard to watch him go thru this process. By Tuesday all the family was in town, the arrangements were made and I was in MAJOR pain! But I kept telling myself it wasnt about me!! I thought I had just slept wrong or that it was stress. But the pelvic pain was serious and I ended up going to the doctors Thursday. I just knew that I was dilating and was scared to death! It was like a seperation feeling in my pelvic area when I walked up stairs or drive (I have a stick). And I had never felt that but right before birth. My doctor said that I WAS NOT DILATING! thank god! but that I have SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction). And that there isnt anything that can be done about it. The pain comes and goes. Some days are worse then others. I have to just take it easy and I guess if it gets worse then I will ask for bedrest. But right now...all it well. I will go back to work tomorrow and see how things play out till thursday. (my next appt). Hope everyone is doing well
