29-11-2008 - UPDATE 7 weeks

My mood while writing this blog:

Well Jesse is 7 weeks. Healthy and happy. I tried to switch to generic formula and WELL! that didnt go well! so we are back to Prosobee and he is very happy. No more gas or spit ups. Thank goodness. He's still waking up every 3 hours. I tried everything. From more formula before bed to rice cereal and you know, I guess he knows what he needs and that is a bottle every 3 hours. I no longer do rice and I let him sleep however he's comfortable. He gets fussy I try belly sleep and if that doesnt work then I try his side. One way or another he will eventually get comfy and go to sleep. I am still trying to cope with the lack of sleep. But I keep telling myself that if he had come a tad earlier he could have had lots of problems and I wouldnt even have him at home. So I try to look at him and think of all the mothers that dont have their babies at home. At 3AM it makes me feel lucky, not exhausted. I danced with him today and sang christmas songs, he actually looked up at me and grinned at one point and I teared up like I have never seen a baby smile before! it was great. You know, my son was born at 31 weeks and is now 14! and if I did it then at 17 then I think at 31 I should just relax and let nature and god take its course. He will sleep thru the night when he's ready and he will smile at me when he's ready...me trying to will it so, will not do a damn thing. I believe I have just come to terms with fate and love and know that I am the best mother I can be...and that's all that matters.
