Jesse will be 13 weeks on wednesday and I must say it's like I have a new baby. He's been on Alimentum for over a week now and it's been great! I was holding him this morning and he was smiling and laughing. He is on a normal schedule, instead of crying and eating and sleeping. Now he gets up around 8 and eats and then plays till about 10. Then naps. He will be up around 11 or 12 and will eat and play some more. Then around 8pm at night he eats a 8oz bottle and usually goes to bed between 9-10pm and then sleeps till around 3am. Sometimes earlier if he didnt finish his 8oz bottle. But he will go right back to sleep after that and then will wake one more time early to eat a small bottle. I'm hoping that he will start to sleep longer and only take that one bottle. But I am just fine with this schedule! it's much better then getting up and holding him for 2 hours in the middle of the night as he cries. He only gets fussy now when hungry or wet and every now an then when he doesnt want to sleep. But OH MY GOD what a difference. I am still fighting with insurance. Everyone that the doctor talks to keeps looking under prescriptions for the approval but it's not a RX its medical equipment. I figure as long as I dont give up someone will help get it approved. (I know it's covered b/c I have talked to a couple women with the same insurance). It's just a rare formula that most arent used to hearing about. So they are unaware. No biggie cause I'm NOT switching formulas! If I have to lump it and buy it myself I will. I got 8 cans off ebay the other day to help while insurance sorts it out. I still can't believe something so simple made such a difference. This is the first day that I have had 8 hours sleep, he's napping soundly and noone is home but us. It's great.
