06-9-2009 - Almost there

My mood while writing this blog: Happy but fed up

So here we are, 39 weeks plus 3 days feeling ready to burst, i dont actually think i can get any bigger/tighter this time around!

The SPD is excruciating pretty much 24/7 but thankfully i am not bed bound, wouldnt be able to stay that way even if i was with Theo.

I had a false alarm on thursday, lots of back ache, period pain etc and haddn't slept the night previous but as soon as we called the inlaws to notify them that something may or may not be happening it all stopped!

Then in town today I felt a popping sensation and quickly found my way to the nearest bathroom, just incase, and nothing there.

When i was pregnant with my son i had him at 39+4 which would be tomorrow for me now (if that makes sense) so if i make it to tuesday then it will be the longest i've been pregnant for!

I am fully expecting to go overdue this time and have the date 19th in my head for no reason whatsoever but it feels like the date i am going to be expecting him.

bit gutted because my sister has been posted to the falklands (she's in the forces) ad she leaves on the 16th sept, worst part is that she will not be returning to the uk for 4 months, so if she leaves before the baby arrives she wont meet him till he's 4 months old :( ah well, you cant rush these things.

we went out today and got myself some nice new make up and got Theo a present from his soon to be little brother, we bought him a Thomas the tank engine book, an In the Night Garden book and a lovely farm animal pop up book.

Getting load of braxton hicks lately, especially in the evenings I can have 10 in 30 mins. they're fine and not painful but man they make me need a wee so badly lol!

everything is all set for my homebirth and i am just looking forward to it now.

Baby will be born in my living room (if all goes to plan) then we can retire to the bedroom for some lovely snuggles and will be hopping straight on the webcam to speak to my father and his family who live out in norway.

anyway off to have a (very) early night beacause i am totally shattered!
