16-2-2010 - Pregnancy #5 First Ultrasound

Hey everyone,

today was my first ultrasound/ appointment. I am 4w4d according to my LMP so obviously not too much worth seeing on u/s just yet! First he scanned my uterus and we could see a black speck in there but nothing exciting or anything, pretty typical of a 4 week ultrasound (I believe this is the 3rd 4 week ultrasound I have had... they all look the same this early lol) So after that we asked if there was still free fluid so he looked around and said yes but that its nothing to be concerned about and he check my ovaries and saw the corpus luteum on my left ovary and my right ovary still looks like a "chocolate chip cookie" LMAO thats what the dr said anyway! So I still have a bunch of small cysts on my right ovary... I am starting to worry that maybe I didnt have enought time on the metformin to fix the cysts before getting pregnant and what if the egg that was released isnt a good one... but I cant worry about that too much I suppose.

All in all it was a successful appointment... the dr is pleased and when I mentioned that my numbers didnt double he said that it is still good because the increase goes up in a curve, not a straight line so we're good there... He wants me to come in for another ultrasound on the 24th and then one on the 2nd of March. hopefully we will get to see a nice heart rate by the March appointment as by then I should be 6weeks and a couple days. Since I first noted the tender breast almost a week ago they have gotten more and more constantly tender which makes me happy and I have gotten more and more tired! No m/s yet but I did cry yesterday because Wawa was done serving breakfast and I really wanted a biscut!

Anywho, thats all for now I guess. Now we wait... again lol... I am still on my Metformin 750mg twice a day and still taking my progesterone suppositories... so until next week I guess! Thanks for reading!
