Hi
i can't believe nobody has explained to you about this.
If nothing is explained then you will worry about it.
It is good that the baby is growing and all is well, but they should still explain why they want to do an amnio, they should also have explained the risks involved in amnio too but i am sure you already know that.
Your G.P should help too with any questions.
I am afraid some times the NHS has a lot to be desired. I work in it and see the pitfalls, but the most important thing for patients is communication, i never forget to do this with all my patients. If you need any support i am here.

well week 23 is here, im feeling a little stressed and need a cuddle from my man, whos away for a day or two. my kids have been driving me mad all weekend and thank god its school tomorrow!!
as far as the pregnancy goes, i have been to the fetal medicine unit at the local hospital to have another scan because of the single umbilical artery, they checked the babies anatomy and all looks fine, which is good, i have been offered an amnio, but dont really want one.
found out the baby is a little girl, which is good. i thought it was, i just had a feeling!!!!
