01-10-2008 - So close!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Worn out

OMG...20 days to go until my official due date!! I am hoping and praying that little Kelly comes early! He's full term now and this mommy is just so uncomfortable! I had my first internal exam yesterday and I am almost 2cm dialated and 50% effaced..woo hoo! Everyone I talked to says that's good for your first exam and I'm probably going early...and others say that I could stay that way for the next 3 weeks! *Sigh* My dr said that it's too tough to call whether I'll go early or not, that it's up to the baby but that he is in position and ready to go. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my water will break or I'll start having contractions at any moment! My husband finished packing the labor bag last night..which he was glad about. I was holding him up b/c I had to do laundry to finish it..lol..oops! My feet and legs are horribly swollen and they hurt! Elevating them does nothing and I drink about a gallon of water a day! I asked the dr and she said the only thing that will make them better is to have the baby...hmm helpful. It's an effort to do anything now which sucks! I have 11 work days left and am wondering if I'll make it through all of them. We shall see! My husband is so ready to meet his son that he gave him a deadline of 2 weeks or else he's punished until he's 5...lol! Both sets of grandparents keep asking how I'm feeling and if I think it'll be soon! Everyone is set and ready to go for little Kelly to get here! Now it's all up to him! Come on little guy!

My midwife doesnt do checks, she said that it will just depress me if notthing is happening and even if something IS happening, I could go like that for weeks. Im ready...my mom was over 2 weeks late with my brother and I so I dont have much hope to go early...but I seriously CANNOT imagine going another 5 weeks. I HATE this!!! (in the most loving way possible :)

I hope your swelling goes down after labor...My feet have been swollen EVEN WORSE! I didnt think that was possible. I had to get a breast pump b/c she wont eat from the right breast. I just hope I can pump enough to feed her.
