Hi Ladies I hope every one is doing fine. I just had an Dr app on Friday and they told me that i have not dilated. the Dr.was Some what concerned. I am 38 going to 39 weeks and he said I should of already dilated 1 or 2 centimeters. He said if I don’t dilate they might have to schedule a c-section. I really don’t want that I want to have a natural birth. Is there any thing else besides walking that might help I been walking and so far no progress. Please help if you know anything that might work please let me know. My next app will be next Friday and Dr said they will go from there so I hope I dilate this week. Thank you girls so much for all your help.=) and support always. Please pray for me.

Wow! I only dialted 2cm at 41 weeks and they told me i would get induced the following week...but she just came on her own and i only was 3cm when i arrived at the hospital and it took me AGES to get to 6 cm...but in the end i had her naturally! So I think he's jumping the gun a bit being concerned so early! Sometimes it can just happen in a few hours!

well, i took castrol oil at 930pm on dece,30th. and started getting contractions at 1130, and then went to the hospital at 330am on dec,31st and was 4cm's,and had my daughter at 844am soooo id say castrol oil!! yeah my daughter was only 10 days early so about the sameeee

I dont understand why your dr would be so concerned, you are only 38 weeks and alot can happen in 2 weeks. Even still most drs will let you go until 42 weeks. There are lots of people that dont dilate until they go into labour. Some people dilate early some later. I was 41 weeks before I was dilated with both of my kids and I still had them vaginally. Heathy and happy. I was checked on Mon morning and wasnt dilated or anything then on wed baby was born so you just never know! I wouldnt be concerned yet, even though it seems very soon ( and to us it is) 2 weeks is still a while as far as baby is concerned, they can gain more weight, and mature in that time as well as you can change to. I mean you were checked fri and wasnt dilated but that dosnt mean that you are not now. Just relax and enjoy the time you have because your baby will be here very soon!

at my 39 appt. I had not dilated, baby had not even engaged and my cervix was still very long, we thought I would need a c-section, but one day before my due date my water broke, so really being dilated means nothing, there is no way of knowing!
