| 31-7-2009 - Week 35 ...without you guys! | My mood while writing this blog:alright |
So my stinky boring week without you guys!... =(
It’s been pretty emotional
week. Just so many mixed feelings. And the hubby is really stressing, but he is
a horrible “stresser”. So he was fighting with me for a few days until he
finally snapped. And I know he doesn’t mean to argue with me, but I know he is
not good with stress. Good thing that men arent the pregnant ones! They could
never last. I’m like “hello!! Don’t talk to me about stress and being tired and
overwhelmed!”
I had a “baby shower” at work
on wed. where the office collected money and the girls took me to eat and gave
me to money collected… while I am very grateful and thankful, but the math
doesn’t add up, from what I hear 2 of the girls were very cheap and contributed
less than expected.. the 2 girls who like to walk around like they are all high
and mighty and spend their every spare second shopping… go figure. So the
person who collected the money was very angry about it! But what can you do!
Either way, the owner of the company gave me a $500 check on top of the
contributions and for that I am
extremely thankful!
Also- we have a new
insurance. Starts in August, the insurance people where there to assist any of
us with questions and such. I learned that our deductible will be going up! So
I would have to pay the difference. (our new insurance has 2 plans, one with a
$1000 deductible and free to employees and and overall cheaper to have children/spouse
on, and a plan that has a $500 deductible, but it is not free and you have to
pay a difference. ) since I am trying to save money I went for the cheaper
($1000 deductible ) insurance. I just didn’t think the change of insurance was
going to affect me in any way. So when the insurance people told me about me
having to pay the difference in deductible, I almost cried. The room was
completely quiet, as everyone waited for me to lose it. But somehow I kept it
together. So the owner of the company become concerned and offered to pay the
difference in insurance. So I now have the $500 deductible insurance for the
price of the $1000 deductible insurance!
Aug 14 was going to be my
last day, and have one week off before the baby, but I have decided that I cannot
take 2 more weeks at work, (especially since I cant be online!) so next week is
my last week.
I had a Dr’s appointment
Thursday july 30th with my new doc since my reg doc will be moving to
Cali. I had seen him before when my Dr was on vaca. So I REALLY like him and I
wished I had seen him for my entire pregnancy. He is really soothing and laid
back, just eases my nerves. I had that strep b swab… a little uncomfortable… I had a pelvic exam (also uncomfortable.)
Still shut =( and baby is head down (strangely –after having 2 breeched
babies), so my tummy is measuring pretty much on track, if anything just
slightly behind, but the dr said it was nothing to worry about… and since I had
asked for one more scan, he said we would just use that reason for another
ultrasound! YES! See, I like him! He actually said that it was good that I got
away with having a c-section at 38 weeks. He said that they are no longer
allowed to schedule c-sections till 39 weeks. He has no problem with taking
baby at 38 weeks, but said it was amazing that I somehow sneaked that in.
And we’ve also decided that
we will be taking the entire 12 weeks of maternity leave (with 7 paid and 5
unpaid, which means all of oct will be unpaid) and I return to work on Nov 2.
So somehow we will manage…somehow. But deep down inside I am very happy! I get
to spend 2 ½ months with my baby and be there for my girlies! God willing, in
about 2 years, I can be a full time SAHM. Children only become older and more
complicated! I want to be there to guide them and support them.
Ok, well that was my week!
Everyone stay safe and
remember – we are almost there!
