05-9-2008 - labour on labor day!!

Hey......

Baby Darren Isai was born on 9/1/08 at 10:06pm. 7.7lbs 19 inches long.

It was tough and painful but well worth it.

I woke up monday morning and looked over at my husband and said well another night and no baby... It was a usual night i peed like a million times. at around 10:30am i was ready to take a shower there i am on my way to pee and my pee-pee was pink and i wipped and there was blood.. my heart started pounding and i felt so happy and excited. i ran back to the room and told my hubby its time. let me shower and get ready. we left the house at 12noon. I had no contractions it was weird. there i am in the hospital and am so ready to deliver my baby. so they checked me in checked me and i was 3cm and my water was intact baby was good. the RN said well since you dont have contraction and your cervix is the same as last week i would say go home enjoy labor day, eat healthy, walk and if your water brakes or start contracting then come back immediately. She looked at me and said or you could stay and wait here but were looking at a 15hr labour. So without hesitating my hubby and i came home went over to his parents house enjoyed the bbq and everything. around 2pm i started contracting every 7-10 minutes okay i can handle this. at 3pm contraction were like 5mins apart the contractions were making me sweat and i was very pale. at this point my hubby and i decided to go home to prepare to go to the hospital. i came home took a hot shower and was already feeling the contractions very strong. headed to the hospital got there around 5p each contraction was so painful. RN checked me and i had dialated to 5cm.. around 6pm i had the iv drugs that got me very drowsy and sleepy. i dozed off for almost 2hrs i mean i knew everything that was going on around me but i felt as if i was far away in la-la land. the drugs started fading off and each contractions was more real to me i was getting back to reality. around 8:30pm RN checked me and i was 8-9cm dialated which meant to late for epidural ( i was trying to make it without it) and i did. my dr arrieved to the hospital around 9:15pm and said i was 8.5 cm dialated he left and came 5mins after and pop broke my water it was so painful and intense he said about 2 more hrs i said inside of me there is no way im going through with this for 2more hrs. around 9:45p i had the urge to push i told my hubby go get the nurse because i have the urge to push. she came right away checked me and said okay we are going to start pushing i was fully dialated and the baby was ready. i pushed there for about 5 mins and then she said okay your ready. they tooke me to the delivery room and it only took about 3-4 contractions about 5mins of pushing when my little angel was out. wow!! i still can't belive he is mine and that i did it.

My hubby was wonderful. He still is he is so hands on. any noise coming from the baby he is alert wanting to meet the babys every need. im a lucky/blessed wife and mommy

CONGRATS!!! I'm glad all went well and that part is over. Now you have a new beginning! A wonderful one, being a mom! Hope to see some pics!
