01-6-2009 - I hate going to the doctor...

My mood while writing this blog: Tired

We have a doctor's appointment this morning...and I loathe going to the doctor! Every time we go, we have to sit for at least an hour, you never really know what's going on, all they have is outdated magazines to read, and there is always someone sick in the waiting room! Plus, I don't really look pregnant, so I think Baby Raines feels inferior sitting beside all these other babies that are much bigger than them!

I think what bother's me the most of going to the doctor's is the real worry something is wrong. I don't feel like anything is wrong (no bleeding, no cramps, etc), but you just never know. Plus, I don't think my doctor is overly accomodating. We are switching to a mid-wife at the end of this month, so i'm just trying to keep it in perspective. Maybe this being nervous thing is just standard and comes with the territory of being pregnant.

However, I am 18 weeks tomorrow (yayaya!), so i'm hoping that he schedules an ultrasound for us :0) That is what makes it all worth while. So, here I sit nervous, tired (second trip to the bathroom tonight!), and drinking some orange juice! But i'll keep everyone posted when I get scheduled for an ultrasound.
