10-1-2010 - Sammy at 9 weeks!

My mood while writing this blog:
Happy!

I cannot believe how quickly the past 9 weeks have gone! And how much Samuel has changed since he was born! He is like a little person now! He smiles and laughs and says A-Goo at us all the time! He is such a joy...especially when he smiles, I just want to burst into tears because I love him so much!

I spent the first several weeks being wayyyyyyy overprotective...I don't think the child left our sight for even a second, and it was starting to wear me down. Now I am working on putting him in his swing, floor mat, bouncy seat, crib to look at the mobile and he loves them all! He laughs and talks to his toys! I was upset at first to see how quickly he grew, and now I just feel so thankful to have such a happy and healthy little boy...I'm truly blessed.

I exclusively breastfeed and it's apparently working! At his 2 month appointment on Friday he weighed 15lbs 2oz and was 24 inches long! He is in the 97th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. He's going to be tall like daddy (who is 6'4 and 185 pounds!) Samuel outgrew his 0-3 month clothing at 6 weeks...we are already doing 3-6 months! I was so sad to pack his stuff away! Breastfeeding was such a challenge at first...but now I see it as a privilege and I'm so thankful it is something I am able to do for him!

I also resigned my job and now I'm a stay at home mommy! I am so thankful for Eric and allowing me the opportunity to do that for our family! I don't get to cook a lot and the house isn't overly organized, but we are happy!

Ok, the short one is crying! I hope everyone else is enjoying motherhood!!!

Wow 15 lbs! Isabella was 10 lbs 2 oz at her 2 month apt. Sould like everything is going great for you! Congrats on being able to stay home!

wow 15 lbs! youmust have super milk! Rhys weighed 10.5 at 7 weeks and we'll find out tomorrow if thats changed any at his 12 week appt!(I don't think he has gotten any bigger tho). So happy to hear your little bean is thriving!
