...BOY!!

NAME: David Victor Rancourt III

I can't believe we are having a boy! Oh, he is going to be so special to me... well he already is! My husband can not wipe that grin off of his face, he is in his glory and I am just so happy for him! He would have been happy with a girl of course, but there is something about a man knowing he is having a boy that makes their chest puff out! When we were leaving the doctors office he said; "Now I get to play with trucks and blocks!" It was so cute!

After the scan we went to my in-laws where my Mom was waiting too. We got 3 pictures of the penis (hehe) shot. So one was ours and we gave one to both our Moms to see if they could tell. They both shout out "BOY, IT'S A BOY!" Everyone is happy, of course either way, no one cared... it's just fun to know! Now we can go shopping!

The anatomy scan was thee best experience ever and so much fun! We got to see a lot of the baby; the bones in the arms and legs, the ribs, the spine, toes! It is just an amazing, beautiful creation! I am in awe with my baby and all the work he has been doing, I am so proud!

The tech said if she couldn't tell boy or girl she wouldn't make a guess. She'd just have us come back in 4 weeks. Well while she was taking the measurements she saw a glimps of the boy parts. Which I had thought I saw, but wasn't quite sure what I was looking for. She tried showing us, but wanted a better view. He sure was moving around, but just not the right way to have a good lookie. She had me go empty my bladdar and walk the hall a bit. Then she had me lay on the exam table on my side and then lay on the other side. She had me do that 5 times. We had another look and the little guy moved from head down to feet down. Who'da known, I didn't feel a thing...hehe! So we got a GREAT SHOT! There is no doubt he's all BOY =)

All the measurements and everything looked great and perfect for 20wks 2dys. The tech wanted a few more measurements that she wasn't able to get, so we get to go back in 4 more weeks for another one... yippee, we aren't complaining!

The heart rate was 146bpm, which it is everytime I check with my doppler. So far his weight is 12oz, which they say is perfect.

Well enough blabbing, everyone can tell I am so happy and I am so blessed! I just can't believe that it is finally our time!

Cheryl...I'm so excited for you. I remember all of the worries and concerns at the very beginning of the pregnancy and now you are 1/2 way through and you little Boy is PERFECT!!! Yeah!

Congratulations! Thats awesome!! I was so much looking forward to get to know the sex of my baby too... but the little one had his (i stil strongly believe it's a boy!) legs crossed during the whole experiance!! So we don't know for sure! And if we don't pay lots of money we'll not have more scans til he's born, so i guess i just have to keep believing....
But i'm thrilled for u!! Send u'r little treasure lots of happy thoughts from me!

Congratulations! Awww it so cute when the baby is weighing in a few oz... you'll see now how quickly he shall grow. God Bless! Its cool that you guys have a name for him to that way you can start calling him David when you talk to him. I'm so happy for you two! Congratulations! My first was a boy and I remember how excited we were. And now this one is a boy too, we're all excited! I get to go back for another ultrasound next week because they weren't able to see some areas, can't wait for that even though it's at 8am!!
