15-1-2009 - Preclampsia?

My mood while writing this blog:
nervous

Well my 32 week doctor’s appointment didn’t go as well as planned – my blood pressure was high, I have protein in my urine and my ankles are badly swollen which means I possibly have preclampsia (pregnancy high blood pressure) – the doctor sent me for blood and urine tests and said if they come back positive, it is immediate bed rest and they will have to monitor me very closely – I will be induced earlier than planned too – if I don’t hear from her today, then I still see her next week to get my blood pressure checked – cross your fingers!!

I gained 3 pounds and London’s heart rate was 144 (normal) – she is still head down!!

I pray that you'll be fine. I had my checkup yesterday and was told my protein was too high as well. My midwife made me drink 3 bottles of water and re-take the test. i left after that. what does too much protein in your urine mean?

Oh my goodness. That is terrible. I hope you guys are doing okay. My friend had that and it was the worst. I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there, even if it means putting up wtih bed rest. :) Good luck darlin.
