| 04-6-2008 - Hubby's being a jerk ... | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
After months of peace, love and harmony in our home, LOL, Charleston and I had a huge argument last night. I was totally emotional and really upset with him because he can be a complete selfish a** when he is stressed out with work. Ok, here's how it went down...He and I work for the same company and he just got accepted in to a really prestigious program with the company which requires him to travel for meetings every few months. Sound great so far, right? The first meeting for the program is next week and he tried to get out of it because he's so busy in his office (I told him he would have to go, but being a man he had to do it his way). Anyway, he was told if he didn't make it he would not be able to be in the program. Yesterday, he found out that it will be a 3 day meeting in Chicago. He still doesn't want to go and was pissed about the fact that he couldn't get out of it all day. He then procedes to tell me that he hates traveling on the train to Chicago and that he is driving my car instead of taking the train (I'm thinking, what???) as "I" usually do when I travel there, (1 1/2 hour ride on the Amtrak train, no biggie right? wrong!) This would leave me to drive his car (just recently in a pretty bad accident and waiting to be repaired next week as well!) I'm like hello, dude are you crazy, I'm nearly 8 months pregnant! why would I be here for 3 days, with basically no car in the house and/or try to drive a car that the driver's side door will not open???? He literally got mad, said he would rent a car, and because I questioned his selfishness, he had the nerve to get pissed. Well, duhhh renting a car should have been his first idea and I would not have been upset about how selfish he was being!!!" You'd think his wife and unborn child driving a car that is in need of repair would be his first concern, but he was more worried about not being inconvienced by the train schedule and the fact that he is pissed that he had to go. This morning I woke up pretty much over it but he is still mad and not speaking to me, which is fine with me as I'm not too happy with him either. He has a dentist appt this morning to have a root canal so when we woke up I asked him what time we needed to be there, but because he needs to prove a point to me about how pissed he is, he told me he doesn't need me to go anywhere with him. UGHHHHH! The man is ridiculous! But fine with me, his choice. I have managed to control my emotions for the most part during this pregnancy but he can really take me over the edge when he is thoughtless and then plays the big baby role! We have our childbirth class tonight and I'm not in the mood to smile and be lovey dubby when he is being a jerk. Men are such big babies! My hormones are not helping either, because I have no patience for this kind of crap and really could have given him a piece of my mind! Sorry for the long story and thanks for letting me vent! Hope you ladies have a better day than the way mine has begun...
