07-7-2008 - Happy 41st Birthday!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy!!!!

Today is my 41st birthday! Wow, 5 years ago I would never have imagined my life in this place right now. Married to my soulmate, living in Wisconsin, 17 year old son doing great, and pregnant with my second child, due in 2 1/2 weeks! God is truly been good and know I am so blessed.

My hubby and son stayed up all night making a hugeeeee birthday cake for me and I woke up this morning and went into the fridge for my morning water and almost cried. No one has ever done such a loving thing for me in my entire life. They worked on that cake all day yesterday and then waited until I went to sleep to decorate it. (along with being a former contractor, hubby was a chef in his previous life) I love those men! I will definitely post a pic of it later today. They have also planned to make a dinner for me of some of my favorites so Jordan and I will eat well today ladies :), LOL!

I have to work this morning for a few hours but after that I'm coming home to go get a manni and peddi and then relax with my guys. My son told me that he told his friends today he was celebrating his mom's birthday all day, how sweet was that? He is a great kid and although there are no perfect ones, I'm so proud to be his mom. Regardless of what the media may say, there truly are decent, loving teenagers out there that love thier parents. And although we are in a time where marriage is not so popular either, I have a loving hubby and soulmate who loves and cares for me as God wanted for me when I did not know what to look for myself. We have our ups and downs like any other married couple, but there is not a day that we are not thankful for the love we have between us and it is amazing when you and your spouse feel the same way. Yesterday, my hubby looked at my son and I and said I'm such a blessed man to have you guys in my life. We did our traditional group hug and carried on with our day, but I have to say, I thought about that more and more and realized that in this day and age, how much God loves us to have brought our family together like this.

Well I have officially had my birthday moment and cry, lOl! so I better get moving.
