Want to cry

I'm a working mom and my husband just got laid off so he is at home with the baby until something comes up. I read somewhere that babies at 2 months can recognize mami and papi when they seem them but when i come home i feel like my baby doesn't know i'm mami. I mean he smiles and coos like normal. Maybe its all in my head and i'm just sad because i'm at gone for 10 hours out of the day and i only get 4 hours with him when i come home than we go to sleep. I told my husband how i feel and he said its just me but i feel like my son looks at him different because he sees him all day. Is it just me?

I am also a working mother and I have to leave my daughter who is now 8 months with my cousin who watches her for me during the day. It is very difficult to leave them, but they do recognize who mami is. I feel like I am missing time away from my kids as well.

I understand how you feel. Its hard leaving your baby to go to work, but he knows who you are and will love you the same.

hi there this happened to me well the feelings did.
my 2nd son broke his leg when my 3rd son was 8weeks old and i had to stay in the hospital for almost a week while dp stayed home with baby and our oldest son and I would only see baby for a few hrs a day he went from breast feeding to bottle in that time too as I wasnt able to feed him. I felt our bond was being broken almost. and as my 2nd son had a hip spica on i had to spend to next 5weeks focusing on making sure he was always comfertable and dry etc. so I spent very little time with baby for over a month and it was very hard to watch mason spending all his time with dp. now that everything is back to normal things are fine now. hang in there when u get home from work and on days ur not working take full advantage of them and maybe go for a walk with baby on ur own have some time just u and him.
