07-11-2009 - 13months old already

My mood while writing this blog: relaxed

Well Mckenzie Grace turned 13months on the 6th of november and i cant believe how quick it has gone, She is a very bright girl and getting big, Alot of people say she looks alot older than she is and at times i have to agree, she certainly acts older lol.

We have hit the rebellious stage lol..the " I KNOW IM NOT MEANT TO TOUCH/SMACK/PULL HAIR, BUT I WILL TRY ANYWAY" stage! it can be sooooo exhausting but its all part of growing up i suppose, with the smacking i blame myself as i have tapped her hand 3times and unfortunatley she now thinks its the right thing to do, so now i am ignoring it, if she smacks i dont look at her or say anything and it seems to be working, if for any reason it hasnt then i try and distract her into giving me a "high five" which does work and she will burst into fits of laughter :) with the touching things she really knows she shouldnt then i remove her from them and if she try's to go back to them ( which happens everytime with a naughty giggle) then i distract by asking her to find a particular toy that she likes, i'd say 9/10 it works..and the hair pulling i am slightly confused with as she pulls her OWN hair! doesnt seem to bother her, so she will pull mine and her older sisters i dont think she means to hurt us, but i do look at her and tell her "no its not nice and it hurts mummy and taiya" ..needless to say its work in progress

On the other side she is a very bright lovable little girl, she can talk but doesnt do so very often mainly still using her "baby babble" wors she can say are : Kenzie, Mammam, Daddad, aya (taiya), oggie (doggie) quack quack, bird, uice (juice), dumdum (dummy/paci), Gandad (grandad), ite (nite), ta ( for thankyou), ta-ta (for bye ), hiya, & car..oh and will ask whats that? when pointing to things, She loves certain chararcters from her favourite shows on cbeebies such as Lau lau and Yojojo from waybuloo (she can say their names too) and she loves iggle piggle from the night garden, well i think she loves them all and she watches it everynight before bed. She has a good imagination and will pick her babie/dolly up nd give kisses/cuddles and put her to bed, she gets her toys in cars etc and pushes them around going Brrruuuuummmmmmmm lol, its so cute to watch.

mckenzie started walking when she was 9months and 3 weeks and is an absolute pro, she is running too now and runs from me when i chase her or if she has something she shouldnt she goes to hand it to me then laughs and runs off in the other direction lol, very funny girl, she has a great sense of humour and will laugh if somebody else laughs. she is reat with her eating and feeds herself with either her fingers or a fork, she is on all table food and has been for 6-7 months, she hated baby food and to be honest i cant blame her! lol, she does well with her food and has a fantastic appetite, some of her favourite foods are : garlic bread, lasagne, sunday dinner (meat,veg,yorkshire puds and gravy), chicken pasta and CHEESE!! she loves the stuff which i am fine about. She loves to be outdoors and i let her in the garden anytime the weather is nice or we go for walks and she loves to look at the pretty flowers and point to things so i can tell her what they are, she loves her big sister and 2 big brothers, though she misses them terribly when they are at school or away which is why we hope to have another soon..well hope you are all doing well and your LO's too xx
