17-3-2009 - My pregnancy so far...

Last Tuesday (3-10-09) I had my first u/s (abdominal). I should have been 7 wks 1 day according to my LMP but I only measured 6 wks 5 days, which put me 5 days behind. The u/s was not at my doctors office because I was too impatient to wait 1 more week for my u/s that was scheduled at my OBGYN. I was very anxious to get an u/s due to my history of miscarriages, so I found a local organization that did free ultrasounds and they were able to get me in right away!! They saw the heartbeat flickering, but I wasn't able to hear it. Fast forward to Tuesday 3-17-09...

Today (3-17-09) I had my 2nd u/s (transvaginal). This time I was at my doc office with UPDATED equipment!!! and guess what?? I actually got to see and hear the heartbeat and it was SO COOL!!! My little bean had a hb of 152 and everything looked great except he/she is measuring 7 days behind according to my LMP. I should have been 8 wks 1 day, but according to the u/s I am now 7 wks 1 day. I think I am going to go stick to my LMP due date for now. I am very nervous now that I am 7 days behind rather than 5, but the u/s tech said it could have been due to the 2 different u/s machines used, or I could have ovulated late, or it could have been because the 1st u/s was abdominal and this one was vaginally, which is more accurate.

Yesterday (3-16-09) I had bloodwork done and the results were very scary. My HCG was 10, 546 and progesterone was only 12!!! I was given vaginal progesterone supositories, Crinone, to help my levels increase. I go back tomorrow for more lab work to see how my numbers turn out...
