I went to my 15 week appointment thinking I was going to get an u/s, since I hadn't had one since I was 10 weeks. Knowing my history (7 miscarriages) I thought I would get them more often. Well to my surprise I wasn't scheduled for one. The assistant listened to the HB with a doppler, which wasn't that exciting because I have a doppler at home and I listen to the HB daily!! So they took my blood pressure, checked my urine and weight, and that was the end of the appointment! Until I was asked did I have any questions or concerns. I asked if they could check my cervical length to make sure I didn't have an incompetent cervix, which can cause a 2nd trimester miscarriage. I was told that due to my history, my concerns were legit and they would schedule me for an u/s.
Luckily there was an opening for an u/s a few hours later so I was able to get right in! I saw my little baby and it was so amazing! I wasn't able to find out the sex yet. I have to wait until June 9 =( BUT I was able to see the baby moving, sucking, kicking, and I got three great pictures! My cervical length measured perfectly, and everything looked great. The baby weighs approximately 3oz already!!! My placenta is lying low so I was told I have "marginal placental previa" which isn't a serious concern as of right now. It should move into the correct place by the time i'm due.
So everything is looking great! Except this nasty cold I just came down with last night. I don't want to take any meds so I am just going to sleep it off and hopefully I will be back on my feet soon!!!

Yes I went from disappointed to SUPER excited in a matter of hours LOL!!! Thanks for your input on the placenta issue!

What a wonderful day you've had! Don't you love it when everything just seems to fall into place?! Glad things look so well for you and you'll be able to see the little one again in a few weeks! Yea, your placenta should move the more your uterus grows, so you're right not to be concerned. Good for you hunny!!
