06-10-2009 - Induction date SET!!

So I had my last u/s today. My lil mama is still measuring really small for dates. (2-4 weeks behind :o) My due date was moved around a bit from 10/26 to 11/2, but today the doctor decided to induce me on 10/26, in which he thinks I will be 39 weeks. The date was set based on the fact that if I am really 2 weeks behind, she would still be born at around 37 weeks. Also, if she really has growth restriction, she could be at risk for being stillborn, so they don't want me to carry her too long. I'm so excited to have a date set! I am still nervous about her measuring small, but I have to keep reminding myself that ultrasounds are not always 100% accurate, AND the women in my family have a history of having small babies. So until 10/26, I will continue my weekly OB appointments and my weekly non stress tests....OH and I can't forget my daily kick counts!!! Hope everyone is doing well!! Sending lots of Labor Dust to my fellow 9-monthers!!!

You have been so positive through your whole pregnancy and I think (know) that helps your "lil mama"! Why do they want to induce you though and not let you carry her for as long as you can- especially if she is measuring small? Is it because of the '0' and they want to induce you so the proper doctor can be there to deliever? Either way babe, nothing but the best for you and your precious!! OXXO
